Our Vision is to offer friendship, care and a sense of belonging to members of our community who are terminally ill and reaching end of life. Eden Care – Befriending and advocacy service is a friendly intervention setup to support and empower the long term sick and those reaching end of life. Service users who are referred to our project are paired with a befriender to support him/ her with their personal, social and spiritual needs. Befrienders will offer friendship and advocacy support to help the service user overcome difficulties. The befriender will become one of the key contact points for the service user. It is our hope the relationship will be based on trust and support. We provide friendly one to one person centred support to empower the terminally ill and those reaching end of life. All our befrienders will be given specialist training so that they can provide quality service which is non-discriminatory. Befrienders will undergo a DBS check and vetting process so that we at Eden Care can provide the service users the utmost quality.

Our befriending service is open to needy people from all communities.

Eden Care’s objectives are not to replace existing provisions. We plan to engage the service users in a culturally inclusive and religious sensitive manner to increase and enhance their quality of life through friendship and advocacy.
