Mrs Islam (not her real name) Died: 17th May 2014.
She died alone in care, has no family in the UK. Eden Care UK and the community helped organise her burial, raised funds for her burial costs, taking part in her funeral pray and attending her burial. Eden Care UK regularly does charitable activities on her behalf.

Peter (Saeed) Died: 4th November 2014
Eden Care UK provided befriending and advocacy support while Peter was in hospital. A number of social programmes were organised for Peter. We provided free legal support and completed the statutory declaration to ensure that he was buried according to his faith. Eden Care planned Peter’s burial and raised some funds for his burial. Peter and Eden Care developed the Muslim Burial Fund for other needy individuals. Eden care regularly does charitable activities on his behalf.

Warren – Funeral pray 16th December 2014
Warren was known as the gentle giant, he was murdered while at home. His family refused to give him a Muslim Burial and opted to give him a Christian burial. Eden Care UK organised funeral prays in his absence at the East London Mosque and regularly does charitable activities on his behalf.

Sharifa – Died: 19th November 2014
Formerly a Sikh, her family agreed to her having a Muslim burial. Eden Care UK planned Sharifa’s burial and with the help of the community raised some funds for her burial. Eden Care regularly does charitable activities on her behalf.

Falcon (Died: 22nd November 2014
Falcon is a simple, easy-going, joyful and much loved. Eden care helped plan his burial with his friends and attended his burial and regularly does charitable activities on his behalf.

Shareefa La Force – Died: 3rd December 2014
Eden Care UK provided befriending and advocacy support while Shareefa was alive. Sylwia Stanczak – Died: 19th December 2014
After getting married and having her first child the young family decided to go on a holiday. While trying to have a wash Sywia was electrocuted and died. Eden Care UK with the help of the community raised some funds for her burial and attended her funeral. Eden Care regularly does charitable activities on her behalf.

Angelo – Died February 2015
Angelo lived by himself, his neighbours alerted the Police who discovered his body at his home. The authorities confirmed he died four months ago. Social services wanted to give him a cremation, but his non-Muslim neighbour rejected the cremation because he was a Muslim. He reverted to Islam in 2014. Eden Care UK made full arrangement for his burial but his family decided to give him a Christian burial.   Eden Care UK organised funeral prays in his absence at the East London Mosque.

Mariam Bernadette MacAndrews – Died 23 may 2015
Mariam was a very humble person and led a simple life and reverted to Islam 10 years ago. She lived in a care home with her two canaries Minett and Skye. Mariam had Alzheimer’s and other age related illness. Eden Care UK volunteers regularly visited her and started an appeal to visit her or send her cards which she loved very much.
